JOB DESCRIPTION AND SKILL MIX REQUIRED
The Position: Support Engineer （东莞）
Reporting Relationships:
Internal: Reporting to the Technical Director
Key Objective:
Undertake all presales and post-sales technical services to our clients.
Typical Responsibilities Include:
• Studies technical manuals and brochures to determine equipment needs or systems enhancements.
• Prepares cost estimate for equipment and installation and submits data to management for authorization.
• Orders equipment, prepares installation specifications, and monitors progress of installation to ensure facilities are ready on specified date.
• Maintains up-to-date records of required materials, equipment inventory, spares, and floor plans.
• Identifies areas of operation which need upgraded equipment and performs upgrades as needed.
• Undertakes required installation and repairs at client's premises.
• Visits vendors to learn about available products, enhancements, and services.
• Serves as technical trouble shooter to clients after sale is closed and while products is being tested and installed. May also accompany sales staff during service visits.
• Drafts or proposes changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services which would result in cost
reduction or improvement in operations.
• Provides technical training to employees of client.
• Communicate with distributors, OEM customers and oversea design & technical department
Qualifications:
• Couple of years experience with multinational company, proven good support service track records with experience in the electro-mechanics, automation industry.
• Major in industry automation/Technical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering (Control & Automation).
• Knowledge in Micro-switch, Micro-motor, pneumatic control product and automation control and safety product will be an advantage.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English and Mandarin
• Able and willing to travel in Asia-Pacific.
