JOB TITLE:     Field Application Sales Engineer

REPORT TO:   Business Manager

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Work under direction of Business Manager to develop the company’s future growth plans(immediate and longer term objectives) for targeted industry segments, applications, and/or technologies as they apply to the company’s products, services and field sales.
·Research, analyze and monitor the technological, demographic and market trends, which may affect the present and future product needs in assigned industry segment.
·Analyze and define the market for the company’s product growth and life cycle.
·Define targeted market size, company market share, competitor market share, and available market share.
·Develop sales strategies, and action plans for identified targets of opportunity that clearly define objectives, goals, win strategies, schedules, and action assignments.
·Coordinate major new product programs(general and customer specific):
 Monitor schedules
 Define and resolve problems
 Involve additional resources when required
·Transition new programs to corporate to finalize.
·Visit key and potential customers, as needed, in conjunction with Business Manager.
·Manage and/or support trade shows as required.  Suggest advertising, promotion and communications activities.
·Recommend additions or changes to catalog and/or sales literature.
·Any additional assignments delegated by the Industry Director.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
·Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
·Familiarity with Microsoft Windows based computer programs

EDUCTION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
·Associates Degree or equivalent experience
·Field sales, marketing, or engineering experience

EDUCTION/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
·Marketing, Sales, and/or Technical experience with connectors and/or niche components
·Familiarity with High Reliability Interconnect Solutions and/or Hypertac contacts
·B.S. Degree Engineering
·B.S. or M.B.A degree in Marketing
·10 years experience in a related field or industry
